 IS NOT EXACTLY LIKE THE EXPENSIVE VERSION, BUT IS REALLY GOOD July 25, 2008
My mother in law has a CHI Iron, and she paid almost $200 dollars. Sometimes I borrowed it, and it was exactly like the one used in the hair salon, I wanted to buy it, but it simply looked too expensive, so when I saw it in Amazon at $70 dlls I just bought it, I received it very fast, and I noticed that although the box and the iron look the same, the material that is made is different (not the ceramic plates, but the black material), is ligther than the one of my mother in law, but still works great, my hair becomes smooth and silky. To me, it makes sense the difference in the material, cause is cheaper, but the main function does not have a problem, I recomend it.

I have wavy hair that can be hard to manage. When I use the Farouk CHI flat iron it tames my hair! It actually stays straight the whole day, and the next! I would highly recommend this product.
Wonderful product - caution to those with fine hair July 23, 2008
I was shocked to see how well this product worked on my curly, thin hair. No matter what I did in the past, if my hair was exposed to humidity it would curl and frizz up. When I use the Farouk CHI iron, my hair stays straight all day long - and mostly frizz free.
I'd like to caution those with thin hair. Although I use a 'heat protective spray' before i use the flat iron, I've noticed more hair falling out than usual. I can't use this product everyday. At least if I go bald, the few strands that are left will be nice and straight. :)
Fast and easy July 21, 2008
This is a great product! I have very curly hair and I love how this straightener takes the guessing out of straightening it. There are no temperature settings or steam settings, just on and off which takes the guessing out of it.
It takes me 10 minutes to straighten my hair which took me 30 minutes to straighten with my hot tools straightener. And it gets it much straighter! I highly recommend this product!

Best flat iron I have ever owned. Gets your hair silky and flat without damage. Great price and worth every penny spent. Love this iron! Much better than the cheapie brands from the drug stores!
