Ok, so I bought this oil first from a drug store after hearing so much hype about it on TV and in magazine ads. I was skepticle because I don't always believe what I read or see until I've tried it or it's been proven by someone I know. So listen, I use it on my face at night because it says it will help uneven skin tones and scars (acne) which I have. Well... It works! I also have oily skin which I thought this product would make oiler. But, it doesn't; as a matter of fact, this makes me break out less. Go figure!Bio-Oil, 2-Ounce Bottle

I tried this product on one very old scar. It goes on smooth and has a decent aroma to it. I've seen minimal change in the scar since using it. Hopefully there may be some more effect after longer use. I can't offer too much insight about how this product may work for you - there have been no negative effects and seemingly slight improvement for me. So I will say it's worth trying if you have areas of your skin you'd like to smooth out.

I use this on scars on my hands and it has really helped make them less noticable. Other people have said they have used this product on their face, but being acne-prone I can not bring myself to do this- although I have acne scars I would love to try this on because it worked really good on my hands. It is very moisturizing and not greasy. It soaks into your skin pretty fast and has a pleasant smell. I think this has worked way better then other scar products I have used and is less expensive. A little of this goes a long way.
Pleasant to Apply - Moderately Successful May 14, 2008
I've used this product twice a day for about a month now on three areas. Two were dark patches of skin (my skin marks easily when scratched) - one on my shin and one on my belly. The other is a patchy spot in my hairline that tends to flake.
The patchy spot in my hairline has cleared up nicely. The dark spots have lightened enough to be noticeable, but there's still a long way to go. I'll continue using the product for the recommended three months to see what happens with my dark spots. I'll also be interested to see if my patchy hairline spot comes back when I stop using it.
So here's what I like about Bio-Oil. The fragrance is pleasant and not overwhelming. The opening in the top is a good size for turning a dab onto your finger - my spots were small, so that's all I needed. It's definitely oily, but absorbed into my skin without leaving greasy spots.
Is it worth it? I've tried using vitamin E on my skin and it's always been kind of a sticky mess, so this is definitely a more pleasant and convenient application. However, I'm not sure that it really works any better than mixing vitamin E in a good oil base.
I'm certainly going to use the rest of the bottle, but the jury is still out on whether I'll come back for more.

I've been using this product for weeks now, and I have to say that I am pleasantly surprised at just how wonderful it is!
My skin just seems to totally drink it in. It does not leave your skin with a greasy feel -- just soft and refreshed. The smell is light and disappears quickly. I have also noticed a beneficial change to the texture and appearance of my skin, and I deinitely plan on purchasing this product again!
