Shaves Great, if you can get it all done in 2 minutes! July 25, 2008 I like the way it shaves, and when I first got it, I loved it. But now that I have had it for a few months, it just doesn't hold a charge, so I have to shave in 2 minute intervals: Shave- wait 20 minutes; shave-wait 20 minutes. If they had a wired version, it would be great.
Great product July 23, 2008 Recently acquired the trimmer and so far have only used it on my torso and underarms. I have not used it in more sensitive areas. This trimmer is great and does the job as promised. It is far superior to the trimmer I had before. The foil and teeth leave a very close shave without cutting or nicking or even leaving any sort of irritation. I can finally shave around my nipples without fear of having one torn off. So far I have only used it dry and it does an excellent job. It is relatively easy to clean and very easy to use. It has a good design since it is easy to manipulate and you can use it in both directions, as opposed to one with a regular razor. The only thing I have found annoying is that if you use one of the guards, it is hard to take it off the head of the trimmer without also pulling the foil assembly along with it. All in all it is a great product and I recommend it highly.
Completely ineffective July 19, 2008 You come to expect a certain level of quality and efficacy of products from major name brands. This is the first item I have bought in years from such a major brand that is completely useless, to the point that I complained to Philips Norelco, and am about to throw it in the trash if they won't accept a refund. For starters, the blades are dull and poorly positioned so as to unenthusiastically nibble at hair, rather than actually *cut* it. Secondly, the build quality is horrible. The length attachments snap on, but are nearly impossible to remove; and a forcible attempt to do so actually ejects the whole razor "cartridge". The same thing happens when you tap it against the sink to disperse clogged hair. The cutting angles are awkward, it is loud and buzzy, and it doesn't hold a charge. In fact, the only good thing I can say about it is that it looks kind of slick. To sum it up: the Bodygroom is horribly ineffective, and I would not recommend it under any circumstances.
Wish I bought it sooner July 17, 2008 Quick and easy to use but most important of all there was no iritation afterwards. No matter what part of body I used it on the whole experience was pain free.
What a piece of junk! July 16, 2008 I don't know where to begin. When you take the plastic clip guards off, they take the entire head off of the device where you have to snap it back on. Then when actually trimming, the device either shaves hair and skin off in chunks if the guards aren't on, or doesn't trim any hair at all if they are on. I can't believe how much this junk snags on skin.
