4 out of 5 stars A good gift and a good part of one's emergency kit   September 3, 2008
It seems to work just fine, although the charge on the LED light doesn't last too long. Still, it's just a hand-crank away from shining brightly again. The 3-LED and 5-LED option included on the same flashlight are a nice way of being able to adjust the level of light that is needed. I've also had the "shaker" model of flashlight and it just seemed like it was more effort than the crank type of flashlight and that they often couldn't come equipped with additional features such as a radio due to the rapid shaking required for them. Also, I like that the crank feature is easy for a child to use. This is not a very expensive item so it makes a good gift, but you do get what you pay for which means this is mostly lightweight plastic and I think I had one of the knobs unscrew after a short while. For the price, you get a lot, though, and it's cheap enough to warrant purchase for the home and the car.

4 out of 5 stars Okay...but not as bright as I had hoped   August 2, 2008
This product is okay for an emergency, and it is convenient to not need batteries. The light could be brighter.

5 out of 5 stars Nice weight and lasts   July 9, 2008
Great product. I mainly use it to hang in my tent and read under. This is very light weight and lasts. The radio actually picks up stations even in some remote places. I'm looking forward to finding the right adapter to charge my cell phone.

5 out of 5 stars Love it, use it !   June 22, 2008
Since I got it, I left it in my car, only one night I felt it is absolutely a need on the road ! It helps me when I crank it and light the area I need to see...

It is a great flashlight and great radio !

1 out of 5 stars Great Idea but Terrible Implementation   June 20, 2008

This is a mediocre product. The idea is great but the actual product is poor. The LED is very dim and blue. The cell phone charger is a good idea but without the right tips, not useful plus according to the instructions you may only have 5-10 minutes of charge. And only China would make a product for which you have to actually scout around to buy the electic adapter.
