Small, practical, useful. Just great.
Add just an air blower and a good tissue and you'll have a very good cleaning kit.

I received this today and firstly let me say the brush end is very nice, the brush is soft and I feel comfortable using it on my lenses.
However the other end of the pen with the cleaning tip is of concern to me and I advise caution for the following reason. I took the common sense approach of testing it on something other than expensive glass before using and to my alarm when brushing it against my hand it left a black smeared mark. I tested it further and every time I brush it against anything it leaves a black smeared mark. It seems apparent there is some kind of black dye in the cloth tip or something along those lines (I found nothing in the paperwork to suggest this was normal), either way I do not think you want to use anything on glass that leaves a mark. Especially since it was not that easy to wash off of my hand let alone anything else.
Very strange, needless to say that part of the pen will not be used by me anytime soon. Be aware of this and check before trying, this maybe a freak occurrence on my brush or it may not. Terrible quality control by Nikon there I think.
Compact cleaning System April 10, 2008
After reading positive reviews, I purchased this lens pen. I had bought a lens filter that someone had put their fingerprints on. The pen cleaned it completely. It sure seems like the thing I need to carry in my camera bag to keep my pictures clear.

Hi everybody
I got this cleaning pen today, the brush looks to be fine, but the cleaning head has some kind of smooth black dust on it, I put my finger on it and my finger turns into black! Is that normal? I am afraid of cleaning the lens with it. Is this dust a kind of cleaner or so? or I got a defective product??
after answering me, I would change the 3 stars for ranking this item depending upon what would u say.
Ok, now, after one friend clarify my concerns, I can tell now this is a nice product, It is working very well with me, I was told that the dust in the cap is helpful in cleaning.
I am not able to change the 3 stars I made before, this product worth 4 or 5 Stars.
