 Great for Dell 700M February 13, 2006
Based on other reviews, I bought this case for my 700M with extended battery. While it could fit a larger laptop well, it seems a good size for this laptop. I can also fit some cables inside the case with my computer. Oh! This case comes with a power adapter case, which is way too big for any power adapter I've ever seen but is PERFECT for a TI-89 calculator.

I was looking for a neoprene case for my sony vaio 12.1" R series (yes it's old) laptop. Since this laptop is older, it has a square screen and it's a bit thicker because of the docking station. I ordered the shoreline 12.1" case, but it fit a little TOO snug for my liking. I decided to try this one out and it fit perfectly. it wasn't too tight and it wasn't too loose; just perfect. it also comes with the adapter case which was a plus because the shoreline one did not include it and was more expensive. I liked this one better because it has the "vaio" logo in the front. i was really happy this case fit!

I will echo a lot of what other reviewers have said--this is a great carrying sleeve for the Dell 700m.
I was looking for a sleeve that could be used to simply protect the laptop from scuffs and scratches, because I intended to carry the laptop inside of a backpack with books and other items. Let me say that this sleeve has served that purpose very nicely. I did shop around online, and considered various other sleeves, but this one was cheap and sounded like just what I was looking for, so in the end I decided to go with it.
To be more specific, I am using this sleeve with the Dell Inspiron 700m with the 8-cell extended battery. The fit is great--it fits perfectly snug around the laptop. I would actually say it is short by approximately a quarter of an inch, but the elastic neoprene material easily stretches over the end for a nice snug fit. Without the extended battery, it would probably really be a perfect fit. There is lining under the zipper to prevent it from scratching the laptop, which is also nice. The case is simply a smooth black color, with the VAIO logo on top. Nothing fancy in terms of looks, but that's how I like it.
The adapter case is a nice bonus. The 700m AC adapter easily fits into there, but it doesn't really leave room for anything else. I wish it had room for a wireless mouse, but I won't complain. I consider it a bonus, and my primary reason for purchasing this is the sleeve.
Note that the zippers on the laptop sleeve only go about half way down each side. If I could change one thing, I would make it so the zippers went all the way down to the bottom, so that the sleeve could completely open. I knew this when I purchased it and it wasn't a problem for me, but you should be aware of it, in case it matters to you.
Overall, this case was exactly what I was looking for--great fit and protection for the laptop when inside another bag. I wouldn't expect a good deal of protection from any high drops or heavy impacts, but that's not what I got it for. Highly recommended.

Excellent cover for your Vaio and the power supply. However, its only to help protect from scratches and minor damage. You still need to use a well padded bag. This is good though if you need to slip it into your briefcase or totebag for a quick trip.

I was desperate to find a neoprene case for my new Dell Inspiron 700m and was happy to find reviews that said this fits perfectly. So I ordered it and yes indeed, it is a perfect fit!
