Bigger faster card keeps pace with my digital workflow. January 19, 2007 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
This Sandisk Extreme III 4GB card supports my digital image production very well. Plugged into the current technology this card enables me to engage the action at full speed. The larger capacity is such a good fit that I now consign my 2Gb cards to second and third string. Because I am capturing most images using NEF RAW the size allows me to focus on the many other elements essential to producing high quality images. Also allows me to take better advantage of other creative options such as in camera overlays. The price has come down significantly since my last purchase making this card even a better value in my opinion. Good luck!
Worked Great January 10, 2007 1 out of 5 found this review helpful
It worked without an issue on my Canon EOS 30D. Highly recommended.
Defective product January 3, 2007 9 out of 26 found this review helpful
I ordered this product and put it in my Nikon D200. The product was improperly manufactured, and caused the pins in my camera to bend, rendering it inoperable. I had no idea what the cause was, and went to my camera store, and ended up damaging one of their cameras as well.
We took a quick look at the card, and the holes were obviously improperly aligned. The damage to the cameras was repairable, and the replacement card I received worked ok, but this is really not an acceptable situation for such an expensive piece of equipment.
How Rude Can Adorama be? December 21, 2006 10 out of 45 found this review helpful
Very ! ! ! Got my new card and it didn't work so had to send it back. So upon calling Adorama every person I talked to was rude, short, and not helpful. They did send me out a new one hopefully it will work. I do know one thing I will never ever buy from Adorama again. BEWARE rude people and lousy customer service at Adorama. I will return to tell you more on how my new card is working for me.
great speed, but not reliable December 7, 2006 14 out of 18 found this review helpful
This card has the best rated speed for the Olympus E500, and the performance was great for about 5 months. In that last couple weeks, however, it has failed twice. The first time was when trying to transfer photos to the computer, and the computer could not recognize the card. After my husband reformatted it (and losing pictures in the process), it was working fine. The second time was fortunately while practicing with a new filter. It gave a "card error" message. At this point, I'll contact SanDisk. I will update here with the results.
Customer service update: SanDisk was good about replacing this. They were a little resistant initially and required I perform some tests to prove to them that it was failing, but after I jumped through their hoops, they provided me with a UPS number, I took it into UPS for shipping to their technicians, who promptly had me sent a new one.
Update Sept 2007: If possible, I would now upgrade my rating from 3 to 4 stars. The new card has been in use for 9 months with no problems. So, I would purchase this again, especially for an Olympus Evolt. I would just take lots of practice pictures with the card before relying on it for anything important.
