| Customer Reviews:
great product June 14, 2008 simple but it works, I haven't had too much interference in my gym where many others wear a heart rate monitor. I had no idea what a great tool it wold be to use while working out (I spin mostly) and for $30.00 its a no brainer.
Great value for the price! June 13, 2008 Works great both with the included watch and with my treadmill! Nice zippered case, and it also includes a mount for your bike! Very pleased with my purchase.
Excellent product June 8, 2008 This product performed exactly as expected. Right out of the box it was easy to use and understand. it works perfectly everytime.
Great monitor June 7, 2008 This basic monitor works very well. I like the red button feature that lets me check time and then easily return to heart rate.
Excellent Product June 6, 2008 Before this product I purchased a heart rate monitor that was able to monitor one's heart rate without a chest strap, thinking that merely having a wrist watch would be less of an inconvenience. Well, the idea of just a wristwatch being required is, indeed, better, but it somehow doesn't work. While resting, I've had measurements between the 50's and the 200's on the wrist watch (which, by the way, wasn't indicative of a heart problem on my part, but a problem on the other product's part).
This product, however, proved to be much more reliable. Not only does it accurately measure my heart, but it will project the heart rate onto the watch several meters away. It also comes with a carrying case and a external clip to make it easy to attach to the handle of a bike or treadmill. The watch even has a setting that will beep to let you know if you are below or above your set target heart rate zone. Also, when used with higher end cycle ergometers or treadmills, the radio waves of the heart rate monitor will be picked up on the exercise machine to monitor your heart rate on the machine's display (though I'm unsure of which models of exercise machines have this feature).
The only minor issue I had with it was that it would occasionally have trouble picking up a signal if I had a high heart rate (above 170) and would flash 0 bpm, which I made sure was not my true heart rate lest I fall flat on my face on a running treadmill or, worse yet, complain of a non-existent error.
