Does its function. Small footprint. July 16, 2008 Nice addition for the AV receiver. This switch has a small footprint, and my harmony remote controls it just fine.
3 play digital selector July 15, 2008 This product performed as described. There is no reduction in video after connecting to this componet. I would recommend this product.
Works perfectly! July 13, 2008 Works great with my Logitech Harmony remote...a great way to switch between optical toslink audio inputs!
Works Great! June 25, 2008 This av switcher/selector works perfectly for my needs. I have an older HDTV that does not have any HDMI ports, so component video is my only HD option at the moment.
My TV has two "component in" connections but I needed three and this switch was the perfect solution. I now have my PS3, Roku Netflix player and my digital cable TV signal running through this switch into component one on the TV. It also has digital (fiber optic) audio, so I have my PS3 and the Netflix player audio running into my Yamaha receiver via toslink optical/digital audio cables for excellent sound.
This item really simplified my setup. I couldn't be happier with it.
Optical Issues June 5, 2008 1st I bought a refurbished unit and the optical output was physically gone from the unit so I returned it to Amazon (FYI: the video switched properly and looked good). Next, I purchased a full priced unit but I couldn't get any optical output to be recognized by my Denon AVR. I could hold the input and output optical cables together and see things work, but no luck through this switcher. Once again my 1080i video and analog audio switched properly & nicely. It's simple to use/hookup, but I can't speak highly for their build quality.
