I am using this external hard drive as a backup for three different PCs and it works consistantly with all 3. Just plug it in to a USB port drag and drop the files, then use the disconnect hardware Windows feature to disconnect before turning off the unit.

This harddrive works very well with my iMac though it's a little noisy at times, particularly when it's in the process of backing of up files. But it's very reasonable priced for 500 gigs.

I have been a little shy of IOMEGA products since the ZIP drive days but the price was too good to pass up. This one had a similar problem - died dead cold and would not restart on the initial "Check Disk". Amazon accepted the return as defective merchandise but I am real fortionate I did the "Check Disk" run before putting any files on it. Replaced it with another make of drive which is fine.

No problems to date. It installed as advertised. It works as advertised. What else can I say. I would buy another if I needed it. I would reccommend it to anyone.

This product is ok for its purpose. The transfer speed is good, but I don't know if it could be better with sata or firewire connections. Probably not, because the speed is also limited by de 7.200 rpm. It's very simple to install, really plug and play. It's not so small to take everywhere, but it's good to use at home. It doesn't make any noise. I'm happy with it until now.
