Seriously - You Don't Have An IPod Yet?? May 6, 2008
Are you seriously still trying to decide whether or not to get an IPod? I mean come on already. Stop reading reviews! Hello??? It rules...just buy it!
A Downgrade from the 2nd Generation Nano May 6, 2008 The 3G Ipod Nano is everything you'd expect or want from an Ipod: its small, sleek & has good sound quality. But as far as ease-of-use, its a downgrade from the 2nd Generation Nano. First, this version does not comme with Itunes software, so if you don't already have the software, you'll have to download it. Also, the Ipod itself is less user-friendly than the last version. The 2G Ipod had the "lock" botton on the top of the unit, and set in for easy use. The lock switch on the 3G is almost flush with the unit, and so small that you need to use a fingernail rather than a fingertip to move it, risking breaking it each time. Lasly, when in 'rest' mode (that is, you were listening to the Ipod, but not scrolling through the library) the 2G Ipod would list the name of the song playing & the number of songs remaing on the current album/playlist, etc., so you'd know, without having to scroll, how many songs were left in your set. The 3rd Generation Ipod displays only a clock. You need to "unlock" the Ipod again & scroll through the music to see what's playing. Not a huge deal, but if you prefer just laying back & listening to your music, this version is far less user-friendly than the last version.
Fast shipping. May 5, 2008 The Nano that I received from Apple did have a glitch, though I had no problems exchanging it in the store. I love the size of the Nano, the screen and all of the other features. It holds so much music I know I'll have something for every mood. I only wish Apple would add a radio feature.
Great Deal May 4, 2008 My first iPod - easy to use and sounds great - highly recommend this product!
iPod Nano 3rd generation May 3, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
To me having an mp3 player is essential! I use it while I'm working all the time. I had my first ipod nano for nearly 3 years and when it started not lasting the entire day I decided to upgrade rather than having the battery replaced, since I had beaten and used my first one unbelievably. I love it, I don't really need a video screen although it's neat how the album covers flash through. If I'm going to watch a movie I'll do it on a bigger screen! But I listen to books and music and on my old one I had to keep less on it now I have 5 audio books and my favorite music on it and there's room for more! I like ordering through amazon, the discount on the ipod was nice but when you order through Apple you have to sign for your purchase and I'm not home during the day and so it's really a pain to coordinate someone being here. Through Amazon I got one day deliver through amazon prime for just 3.99 and I didn't have to sign for it. Plus my UPS guy knows I'm not home till the night and often he comes after 5! So I'm extremely pleased with my purchase!
