Transcend 4GB Mini SDHC card from Antonline July 3, 2007 6 out of 11 found this review helpful
Can't give this item or it's seller anything. There is no "0" star available. Product description was misleading. Compatibility cannot be determined until AFTER opening and inserting card. Once opened it CANNOT be returned. Either Transcend or Antonline or both have conspired to make this product seem more useful than it is. I'm out serious monies to these scammers and there is nothing I can do about it. Couldn't even get a reply to my complaint from Antonline. I WILL NEVER BY ANOTHER THING FROM ANTONLINE, TRANSCEND, or AMAZON....deceivers, misleaders, and cheaters all.
Fast and Stable but Buy a Card Reader with it. June 26, 2007 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I bought this after reading reviews on other TREO sites and decided to buy it. I originally tried to find this card in the stores...good luck. Fry's was completely out and I was spending too much time looking for a 4GB mini SD for my TREO 755p. I made the mistake of also assuming that any card reader would read this card and had problems in reading the card with my Thinkpad. I ended up finding a SanDisk imagemate 12 in 1 that read the card perfectly. I have been using the card in my phone for a month and have had no problems. The seller shipped this drive out promptly and would gladly buy from this seller again.
is not compatible with the equipment for which it was purchased April 10, 2007 14 out of 26 found this review helpful
My need was for a mini SD card with the largest capacity available, for use in my smartphone. Researching online I found that until recently the largest capacity manufactured was 2 GB, but that this had been increased to 4 GB. I carefully compared the picture of the 4 GB card with a 128 KB mini SD card I already own, and found them to be identical in size and shape, with a label that is nearly identical. nothing in the description warned of possible compatability problems. When the card arrived I cut open the packaging, installed the card, and found that it was not recognized. I did further research online, and eventually discovered that Mini SD and Mini SDHC are NOT the same technology, nor are they mutually compatible. The card I bought is of no use to me. What really irritates me is that I purchased the wrong item despite having a good understanding of PC's and peripherals, and despite doing a fair amount of advance research. The differences between the two formats should have been made clear in the product description.
Be Careful about Compatibility March 30, 2007 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
Be careful about compatibility as a miniSDHC device often won't work in a miniSD slot. A firmware upgrade, new device driver, operating upgrade might make it work.
The device works as expected in my HTC P3600 (using upgraded firmware) SmartPhone, Dell E1505 notebook under Vista, and Panasonic DMC-TZ3 Camera. These are three great products. Check them out.
Wouldn't work for me March 30, 2007 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
I have a silver motorolla Q phone. I tried this card on the phone and it would not recognize. I tried it on my 10 in 1 multi-card reader on my desktop computer (I bought in December of 06 so its only 3 months old) and it would not recognize. Either I have conflicting hardware or I received a faulty card. I returned it and got 2 Sandisk 2gb cards instead and they work flawlessly. Review is neutral.
