 Omron Pedometer is an excellent purchase May 16, 2008
Excellent product and features, very easy to set up and use. Very accurate and the new PC data downloading capabilities--and the resulting graphs the data produce--are a terrific motivator!!
Now, if they could only add a feature in which one could compare and "compete" online with other Omron HJ-720ITC users.
Far Superior Pedometer May 16, 2008
This pedometer is light years ahead of most.
1. It operates by an electronic accelerometer not a cheap pendulum.
2. This means you can wear it anywhere, not just your hip.
3. It distingishes between normal distances/steps and aerobic ones automatically.
4. It resent automatically each day.
5. It connects to the computer to give you a visual readout of your trends and history.
6. It is durable and long life batter wise.
7. Very easy to operate.
8. Lastly, it is by Omron... a leader in health electronics not just a cheap giveaway or sports store gimic.

I have had this 720ITC pedometer for 2 months and so far, I really like it! I love that I can just put it in my pocket. It is so simple to download the information into my computer. I find it very instructive to view my stats in various ways, to see how I am actually doing on a weekly and even monthly basis, not just a daily basis.
Great Motivator May 13, 2008
I had previously tried the 10,000 steps and had some success, but with this very helpful monitor I am very motivated to reach and exceed my daily goal.

The BI Omron Walking Style pedometer is awesome. It just keeps on recording everything I'm doing so I don't have to think about it. I am 63 and have a heart condition so it is important to me to exercise every day. I participate in a walking program at work and aim to walk at least 10,000 steps every day. It took me a while to work up to that, but now I get there almost every day.
I love my pedometer because it is incredibly accurate, lightweight, and complete. It records, not only my steps, but aerobic steps, calories burned and miles walked and keeps the data in its' memory for 7 days.
The exciting upgrade with the Omron is that it comes with software that you can load on your computer and track your progress beyond the week's worth of data that the pedometer keeps track of. It really helps me see where I am progressing and where I am falling back. Wearing this has become second nature to me now. I would be lost without it.
