I started a walking program a little more than a year ago. I tried several kinds of pedometers but none were as accurate as this one while providing an abundance of usable information. Original set up on the pedometer takes less than 4 minutes. I wear it all the time from when I get up in the morning to when I go to bed. It keeps track of all your steps and a different mode keeps track of aerobic steps which is translated into miles or kilometers on a different mode, along with fat grams burned, calories burned, has a clock and counts the total minutes you have had aerobic walking, even if you walk more than one aerobic episdode in a day. I had the previous version to this one without the software. I LOVE this one so much more because the addition of the software makes me proud of my accomplishments. There is a goal setting feature that compares your actual against your goals on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. I wish I would have purchased this one in the first place so I would know how many miles I walked last year. The software set up online took less than 5 minutes and downloading info takes 20 seconds or less. I highly recommend this product - you will not be disappointed. The batteries last a very long time and are easy to change. NOTE: There is no backlighting for night or early morning use.

So far so good. This pedometer seems to be working fine, and I like the ability to chart my progress on the computer. There's no question that I am walking much more by knowing how many steps I need to make my 10,000 per day. Had both knees replaced Jan. 2007, and it's a joy to get to walk so much!
We also gave it as a gift--with check---to our nephew who just graduated from medical school, and will next start his intern year and then his residency. His field is ER medicine, and I think he will be amazed at how many steps he racks up!

This is an incredible pedometer. I love the fact that you can download your steps and keep track of it. I highly recommend anyone interested in purchasing a pedometer to get this one. You won't be disappointed.

I recently had a triple bypass and the doctors told me that I should walk, that it was the best exercise there is. I needed something to inspire me to walk and keep walking more. I love this product. I wear it from the time I get up till the time I go to bed. I also love the security clip so if the pedometer accidentaly comes unclipped, it doesn't fall and hit the floor. It has many great features that are very helpful to keep me motivated to walk more and more every day. I'm not up to the 10,000 steps a day yet..but half way there..not bad for having a triple bypass not long ago! Thanks for the great device! I've recommended this handy little piece of exercise equipment to all my friends!
Best pedometer ever June 15, 2008
My father in law purchased one of these for me for christmas and i loved it so i purchased on for my wife. I love the hook up to the computer portion. this thing does all the math for you and makes it easy to set goals for yourself. battery last a little shorter than 6 months, but if the battery goes during the day you loose your steps for the day. overall, i love this product.
