Although the ad showed a sleek black phone when I ordered it and it came in white, it works. It's nice that it comes with 2 sets. Having a home business I liked the idea for one upstairs and one down. The only down fall is the answering machine. It's a digital basic voice. You can't add your own message or voice to it. WHich for me defeats the purpose of having a "company phone" because no one will know who they're calling. All in all for a basic cordless phone, it works.
doesn't have a headset jack June 30, 2008
I love Uniden phones, but I realized after receiving this one that it doesn't have a headset jack. I often talk on the phone while cooking or doing things around the house, and for that it is really nice to have a headset jack. I sold the one I bought and bought nearly the same thing but with a headset jack.

Got this for my mom. A cordless phone and caller ID were a "new world" for her. Had a GE model first that sucked and it went right back to Target. The Uniden seems to be fine. Be sure to set the settings to "Talk immediately" so there is no need to fumble with the keypad when you answer. I personally love the fact that only one unit has to plug into a phone jack. Not unique to Uniden, but great to have (no drilling holes and running wires in the basement). I would give this a thumbs up. Mind you, like ANY cordless, you will get fade and static from time to time...it's the nature of the beast. But, so far, so good!

One of our phone lines went dead and we needed new phones to fill the void left by the dead line. This unit works perfectly and we are well pleased.
