| Customer Reviews:
Easy installation July 22, 2008 This was probably one of the easiest installs I have ever done. I had the unit installed and the computer up and running in about 4 minutes with out any problems. If you want a solid economical burner this will do it.
Lite-On SATA 20x DVD DL Drive July 3, 2008 It is nice having both the black and white bezels, and item seems do well. My only complaint is when spinning up, it gets a little loud....spins lile a little jet. I guess that is why it is so fast.
more than worth the price June 28, 2008 I bought this to replace a single-layer SATA DVD drive that came with an off-the-shelf computer. I was first surprised by the low cost but good reviews. The last DVD burner I bought cost hundreds of dollars.
Now I've put this burner through it's paces writing a lot of dual layer DVDs for an archiving project. It's been fast and reliable through the whole process.
A good buy.
Good One June 27, 2008 Very easy installation, just open the case, remove the old(ASUS) junker DVD drive and plug in the SATA power and data cable, close case. Setup was automatic in XP and updated driver off vender's website. The DVD-CD player recorder worked flawlessly. Good drive at a good price.
OK for the price June 24, 2008 This was an OK purchase. Liked the choice of Bezels. But the first DVD I burned with it using Nero, the read-check caused the drive to go into some wierd state in which it repeatedly and continuously attempted to recalibrate. Had to reboot the machine to reset it. Subsequent burns seem OK but I don't try to slow it down on the burn - who knows what it's laying down.
