Excellent camera with great viewer and zoom May 19, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this camera to replace my daughter's SD800. She absolutely loves this camera. She loved her old one but this one is even better and the capabilities are better. The quality of the photo is perfect for the type of camera it is.
Love the camera May 19, 2008 I had a canon powershot 4.0 and decided to upgrade. I LOVE the camera. The large screen is great. The delay experienced with digital cameras is much shorter and captures my 9 mos old son much faster so I miss many less faces and smiles. The photo quality is of course excellent. Canon has done a great job once again. The only knock I can say I have on it is that with the larger screen, I do tend to touch it more with my fingers than I did before but it is a small price to pay for having the better view and small size.
Canon Powershot SD 850 IS May 18, 2008 A nice, compact, and easy to use camera. The image stabilization and the 4x optical zoom are excellent features. The only negative is the flash refresh rate, which, is not as fast as I would have liked.
Canon PowerShot SD850 May 18, 2008 As I am writing this review, The SD850 is no longer the "latest" compact camera in the line up of Canon's well-known compact cameras.
But at the price I bought from Amazon (somewhere around USD 210/-), it is good value for money and the images it captured on my SD850 is more than I could ask for.
Final verdict: An easy to use point-and-shoot 8-megapixel camera, delivers clear, crisp photos without breaking one's Bank!
Great value camera! May 17, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Pros
1. Excellent Pictures - Photos are clear and crisp. 2. Camera starts quickly so as to not miss the shot. 3. Very small and fits in your pocket. 4. Screen is good and can see the shots you have taken.
Cons 1. Files are around 1MB due to higher pixels. There is no way to reduce the mega pixel setting. 2. Battery drains out fast, if flash is used often. Carry a spare for extra night shots. 3. Cannot fetch newspaper or make coffee.
Have fun, using this camera. I have been a fan of canon since I got my first one way back in 1999.
