Think twice April 27, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I'd highly recommend thinking twice before buying this camera. The "sleek design" leaves on thinking it looks great, the rounded edges over the more boxy models. However, this leaves the camera less stable and hard to get a hold of. I owned this camera for all of four weeks and my husband dropped it taking it out of his pocket. I owned the PowerShot 400 for five years, am fairly clumsy, and yet never once dropped it. Canon has even gone back to the square edges of previous models for the PowerShot SD1100. It's just something you don't think about much when looking to buy a camera. Other reviewers mentioned it wasn't very stable, but we overlooked that. At the very least consider getting this camera with accidental warranty coverage. Wish we had, now we're out over $200.
Canon SD850 April 26, 2008 The Canon SD850 is an excellent point-and-click style digital camera. It is small and lightweight, easy to use, and takes outstanding photos. The picture quality exceeded my expectations - even an amateur can take professional looking photos with this camera. For the price, it offers outstanding value and I would not hesitate to recommend this camera to anyone that is in the market for one.
I just love it! April 24, 2008 I really like this camera, it had everything I was looking for. It takes great pictures and isn't that difficult to figure out how to use either. If your not looking to spend over $500 on a professional camera, I think you should get this one.
Great point and shoot April 22, 2008 This is a great point and shoot camera for daily use. The image stabilization feature, though not perfect, improves the percentage of taking "good" pictures. Resolution and optical zoom are on par for cameras in this class. The camera has good battery life and acceptable lag time between shots. Minor gripe with the location of the power button, but learned to get used to it within several uses.
It's pretty cool April 22, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought it last month. It's more beautiful than I thought before. Clear pictures and 4X zoom. Good price.
