Image Stabilization Rocks! June 3, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I had great word-of-mouth advice before purchasing this particular PowerShot model- this camera is awesome. Very durable- it held up on a tour of Asia without a protective case (because I lost it). Battery lasts a long time, the zoom is more than adequate. The image stabilization is an amazing feature- I got great pics from moving vehicles and action shots came out with fabulous clarity.
Amazing Small Camera June 2, 2008 This is an incredible point and shoot camera. It has so many photographic features that it can be challenging to learn them all but when my wife wants to just have a simple camera to pick up turn on and shoot a terrific picture; it's simple and easy. The viewfinder is a nice feature and was one of the reasons we chose it over other cameras, even though the view it offers is not a good representation of the area that will be in the shot. This point is moot since the LCD is so bright that we don't use the viewfinder much anyway. Love being able to put a camera of this caliber in my pocket or the center console of the car for easy use. It has so many automatic content settings, i.e. kids & pets, foliage, portrait, snow, etc. I'm surprised it does not have a landscape one since that is the setting I use most often. Not sure that matters though as the camera takes such great shots on the normal point & shoot settings. Outstanding camera and great fun to use if you don't want to fumble with an larger SLR.
Terrific camera! June 2, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I kept waiting for our old Cannon (2 MP) to die...it won't but I updated anyway! I'm still learning all the features, but have been taking great photos of the kids already. The camera is just as sturdy as the old one, and still fits in a jean pocket. With young kids, we have it with us all the time, just in case of a "Cannon" moment.
Cannon SD850 June 2, 2008 Great camera! Easy to figure out how to use....very user friendly! Cost is great for all you get too!
Thanks!
Even a child can use it June 2, 2008 The Canon PowerShot SD850 camera I purchased was for our department at work. It is easy to use, great pictures and unique features. You will not be disappointed when you buy it.
