 Did not work with Vista on a Dell C521 December 11, 2007
I spent an hour with mom's Dell C521 PC with Vista trying to get the software to connect with the keychain. No dice.
I followed the procedure in the manual to the letter, repeated several times, tried variations, downloaded the software from the cobyusa website, all ending in frustration.
Like mom said: "nothing should be this big a hassle."

I'll admit that I was so frustrated with this product at one point that I almost sent it back. But in the end it was worth it...
The software cd that was included would not load on my IMB/ Windows XP laptop. The computer wouldn't even recognize that there was a disk in the drive. I had to go to cobyusa.com, where I was able to download the necessary drivers and program. The first THREE downloads were not successful, despite following the instructions carefully. Finally on the fourth try, the software was installed correctly and I was able to load my pictures onto the keychain.
It was quite a hassle getting this thing to work, but I'm glad I didn't give up! The screen is surprisingly clear and the design is very user friendly. I think it's a really neat little gadget for the price. I bought this to give as a gift, but I want one for myself now!

As others have mentioned, this is a difficult product to use. What should be a simple operation - install software, plug in key chain, download photos - is much more complicated than you would expect. I have XP, and it took several tries and re-installs to figure it out. You have to install the software, then plug in the key chain, THEN open the software. If it doesn't open, try it again. Sheesh! Basically, it's a matter of VERY bad programming.
I give the product a generous three stars for cuteness, picture quality once you get them on it, and price.

DO NOT BUY THIS
this does not work i have tied it on 2 pc's 1 with vista and 1 with xp does not work
i have tried on a mac does not work this is nothing but a waste of your money.

i have windows XP and had no trouble at all. i don't like that you can only charge it on a computer. and i didn't pay the price it says here - i got it on black friday for $12 and it was worth it. photo quality isn't wonderful but it is good enough for what you pay for. the menu is easy to navigate, the photos are super easy and quick to upload, all you have to do is install the program, plug in the keychain and choose to put photos on it, then open the program, add the photos and crop them so the pictures don't distort to the shap the screen is. quick and easy - i don't see how so many people had such troubles. it suggests you fully charge it (for 4 hours) before using it on it's own. i've found it doesn't take that long to charge it, but just to make sure i kept it on for the first charge for 4 hours. again, i really don't like that you can only charge it through a computer (I got this gift for a truck driver) so I'll try to search for a different charger but don't have high hopes to find one. i also think this is a great stocking stuffer.
def. worth $12 that i paid - not so much $22 and certainly not $30!
