Great Web Cam and Easy to Install March 9, 2008 I have now purchased two of these Web Cams. Great image quality, sound quality and easy to set up. I did have a problem with the driver having to be reloaded but other than that it has been great. Was previously using an OJO and the quality is even better and with Skype you don't have to pay for the service.
Will not work with Skype, Software installes AOL&Yahoo March 5, 2008 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
Based on Skype's endorsement, I purchased a Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000. It will not work as a camera without crashing Skype, no matter what I try. The software load from both the manufacturer's disk and downloaded from Skype's site installed as directed causes my headset and speaker settings to be lost so I must use a system restore to return to the original configuration. I have tried using the "my sounds" settings in the control panel to make the headset work after the camera software is installed but no combination will allow me to do what will make the headset work again
I work in a space where headsets must be used. I have the Microsoft Livechat 3000 headset which has worked perfectly. I do not want to use the microphone feature of the 9000 nor can I use my PC speakers for other than normal alerts. Is there a way to make the camera work and keep the existing headset configuration? No!
Logitech has the worst domestic customer service call center I have ever worked with.

Very Good. March 4, 2008 The resolution is amazing and so is the "Rightlight". Only negatives are that the video blurs when you move too fast; and the "Universal Clip" doesn't seem all that secure. But all in all this has to be one of the best webcams out there.
Great little web camera March 4, 2008 The Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 is all and more than the computer people said it was. Easy to install and the auto-focus is super. Great little camera for a small price.
A bargain for the quality March 3, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This webcam is a bargain for the price. It's not too bad to install and pretty much runs itself. We had a little trouble getting the computer to recognize that it was plugged in, but after downloading the update from Logitech, everything has run smoothly. It fits easily onto the top of my flatscreen and is unobtrusive in style...I like that a lot.
We use it to communicate with our grandchildren in Italy and the East Coast, US via Skype. It has excellent quality picture and the ability to track the subject/s to a certain extent. The lighting in my office can be a challenge, but this camera adjusts and gives a quality image regardless of dimness, backlighting, overhead glare, whatever. I believe this is the best quality available at this price. It's comparable to a much more complex and expensive product, without all the hassle.
I did quite a bit of research before settling on this webcam. I'm really please with this choice.
