The unit works ok but the maps are not current. It is disappointing that newer neighborhoods (built 2 years ago) and other newer restaurants are not on the maps. The website offers to sell the current maps and I do not know if that fixes the lack of up to date information.

If you are in need of an outstandning GPS Unit look no further! The Garmin NUVI 760 is one of the best on the market bar none! Packed with features and very user friendly it is a must for those of us who are no good at directions and have a habit of getting lost.

I got this unit last week for about 375 dollars. I also bought the friction mount, leather case and AC power adapter. I constantly notice a lag on the unit which I am thinking is due to the refresh rate. Say I cross an intersection but my location on the GPS would indicate so after couple seconds. But for this I am pretty happy with it. Used the fm transmitter and hands free blue tooth for my phone which works pretty well

We bought our GPS for a cross country road trip from Minnesota to California. It was a very useful tool especially when we had to find places to stop for batrhoom breaks for our kids. It was easy to find the nearest gas stations and restaurants. The only disappointing thing was it didn't tell you where roadside rest stops were along the interstate, but that is probably with any GPS.

I must say this is the best GPS I have ever used. The first thing I did when I set it up was put in my work address. It is the first GPS or online mapping program (Google Maps/Mapquest) that actually suggested the route that I actually take and makes the most sense. I was impressed. I enjoy the maps and the directions. It is far superior to the GPS in my Acura or Honda Accord. Garmin should be installed in vehicles!
The bluetooth was a bit hard to set up but once it was connected it allows me to find my address book and recent calls, etc. The bluetooth in the Acura did almost nothing right but this one is great.
The only feature I don't use is the music. I use my Ipod for that.
