 Works on the toshiba satellite!! July 15, 2008
Originally these Rams were purchased for a Macbook (bought two) and they didn't work as I later found out that one of them was faulty, but I also have a toshiba satellite with an intel core 2 duo T5600 1.83ghz processor and a 1GB ram, I just removed one of the 512 chips and replaced it with one of these and my computer started up normally (thats what it should do if everything was alright) and had a 2.5GB ram.
I could really notice the difference instantly....it was alot faster in everything.
Once I found out which one was the faulty chip it worked on the MAC also.
The 4 stars is because of the faulty one that they sent me, im just going to order three more pieces to upgrade the two laptops.
I think that this is a quality product with a good price.

I was not aware that the Macbook requires TWO of these memory cards in order to function. I popped out one of my cards and inserted the new one and my computer wouldn't even turn on. I brought it into Apple where they told me I needed two..... so why would anyone sell just ONE for the Macbook?
Do yourself a favor and just go to the Apple Store.They will install it for you too. Much simpler ad quicker!

Product was sent promptly and was easy to install. Have not seen a dramatic improvement of computer function but it does help a little. I was running a cad program through parallel running windows. So it might be the graphics of my computer that needs to be upgraded. Don't think that is possible though. Love the imac but may need a pc for the ProE.

It was delivered in a timely matter with no defects. However, I thought that upgrading from 1 GB of memory to 2 GB would make my computer run faster, since I have installed the 2GB module it seems to run about the same speed as it did before I upgraded. However, I do not have any regrets for upgrading because I know that I need the memory.

I purchased this RAM just as I ordered a 24" 2.4 Ghz iMAC in Mar 08. Installation was about 2 minutes and works great. I run VM Fusion with Windows XP. I noticed a speed difference after installing it. Before it, Windows would drag when I was running iTunes or other MAC programs in the background. I would purchase this RAM again.
