Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R1N5DUFJF9N9PT Just a quick review of my experience with the Flip Ultra Video Camera. Only problems I have had thus far (just got it about two days ago) are updating the firmware (which I have not been successful as of yet) and it's hard sometimes to push the red button. Otherwise, I think it's okay for $150 and if you wanna do some quick videos..nothing serious...I think the more serious stuff should be done by a more expensive camcorder. By serious stuff I mean like you're child's dance recital or baseball game...important family events....etc...

Amazing video camera for the first timer. Just put in the batteries and you are ready to record. I love this camera. So easy to use. I highly recommend it for the beginner!

I had high hopes for the Flip and bought one right before my baby boy's first Christmas. It's easy and no frills. Great stuff. Then I tried to download. It was a mess and the only way out was to reboot. After hours of tries I never got it to work. Finally I checked and learned they had a patch to fix these problems. Only.... the Mac version wouldn't come out until January. OK, it's February now and I found the patch. IT'S ONLY FOR LEOPARD! What? The idea with this camera was to make things simple. My experience was anything but.

After reading all the comments about the FLIP camera, I was very reluctant about getting this to help me create my "Livin' La Vida Low-Carb on YouTube" video series. I've been wanting to take the show on the road and do more than just static videos. So, I decided to take a chance and get this!
BOY AM I GLAD I DID!!!
The quality of the video is outstanding for the price and size of this camera. And the best part is it stabilizes the video for you automatically so you don't have the "Blair Witch Project" syndrome with a shaky camera. I shot a video the other day of cooking low-carb fried chicken and the FLIP camera got me right in the action while I was cooking. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!!
But even better was how easy it was to upload the video to my computer and then to YouTube. I have an iMac (yes, to all those crybabies who say this camera doesn't work with a Mac--WRONG!) and flipped out the USB port on the side of the camera to connect to my computer. There was no software to install and it came right up on the computer. I easily imported the video footage I had shot into iMovie and produced my YouTube video show as normal. IT WAS SO SUPER SIMPLE!!!
If you are into shooting casual videos, then you HAVE to get this camera. It will add so much to my YouTube video series and I look forward to using it early and often. You WON'T be disappointed!

This is a great little product to have if you plan on carrying it around in your purse for quick videos. If it is quality you want then your gonna need to spend a little more money and get a real video camera. I love it cause it is small and conveniant, you get what you pay for basically.
