 Don't Even Consider Any Other Under $200 Digital Frames November 9, 2006

I made a big mistake and started shopping price for a digital photo frame. A big box store had a great deal for $125.00 (many more features than the Philips 7" model). BUT, one major difference, the picture quality on its screen was, absolutely, horrible. Spend the $180 and buy this product. Don't waste your time on other brands. I can't speak to the over $200 units. And, by the way, download this software: wdpv.exe v1.09. It automatically downsizes photos. You can fit 100 pix on a 16MB card.

Well, like many of the other reviews, after a month now, we are having problems with the frame. Picture distortions, screen going blank, etc. I'm going to attempt to return or get a replacement from Amazon.
I'm really impressed with this frame. The picture is crystal clear and set up was a breeze. I was pleased to find out that it has options to change the length of time that a picture appears on the screen or you can have it stay on one picture until you manually change it. It also allows you to set the timer to have the frame turn on and off.

The Philips Digital Picture Frame deserves its fine reviews. In fact, it's the first picture frame that lives up to the potential of the product category. I've found other picture frames to be disappointing. Not so with this frame. It works well on many levels; it's attractive, delivers a bright and detailed image, has a satisfying user interface with intelligent options, even the packaging is unusually clever. Nice job Philips.
If you value a quality product, this frame will not disappoint.

You cannot go wrong with this item!! I am an investigative person and was looking for the perfect digital picture frame to give my fiance as a gift. I read many reviews and it wasn't until I read one that stated "Don't waste your money on this (name of frame omitted), just buy the Phillips." that I even considered the Phillips frames. Mainly this was because all the info I found on it did not mention that it had a card reader and most did not have any customer reviews. I did however find the same product but with out the additional colored frames, that had plenty of reviews to read. I included the link below if you would like to read those as well.
Long story short, that one piece of advice I read about "just buying the Phillips!" could not have been more right. This frame is absolutely amazing and the information/product details listed for this product on most sites doesn't come close to informing the customer about all the functions and wonderful options this frame has! I could not be more happy. I literally pulled the frame out of the box, turned it on and sat it on my desk. Without even adding any pics of my own pics, the factory loaded advertising pics stopped every single person that walked past my desk and forced them to smile in awe and ask about the frame. I firmly believe several of them are planning on buying one now. To put into perspective, these people were Design Engineers, Marketing Managers, Productive Development Engineers and other upper level management personnel. The only thing I am not happy with is the fact that I waited so long to purchase and that the advertising does not do this product justice!!! ENJOY!!!
