1 out of 5 stars Weak Signal   July 31, 2008
For the price, you would expect the unit to transmit 3 feet to your car antenna. Unfortunely if the transmitter is below the dash all that you get is static.

1 out of 5 stars Great industrial design, too bad it does not broadcast a signal   July 23, 2008

Absolutely perfect design, but an awful product. The "clearscan" does a better job finding actual stations than finding empty space. In fact, I believe a random function would work better. I was able to here faint music from my 1G iPhone twice. The "Pro" function cycles between no signal, very weak signal, and mono weak signal. The broadcast signal is so weak that my Saab radio frequently passed over it entirely.

Good luck with this one Belkin, I suspect you won't be selling many of these in the future and getting most of them (including this one) back.

My experience with this is spotty. It works great with either my iPhone or iPod classic, but only in my Ford Escape, which has its antenna in the front.

In my Hyundai, the interference is unbearable. Its antenna is in the back, confirming what a previous reviewer had discovered: it doesn't work very well with rear antennae).

Disappointing.

2 out of 5 stars Ouch, not a good product   July 15, 2008
I really should have read these reviews first. I will be returning this product.

In brief, the pros: Solid construction, well made unit. Should last a long time. Easy to use and get working.

Cons:

Terrible audio quality. I had to find a new FM channel nearly every day, sometimes many times a day. Even when I did find a decently clear channel there was still a background of static and noise and the audio quality from the ipod was inferior to that of even regular radio channels.

Even tho it says made for the iphone when I plug it into my iphone I get the warning "this accessory is not compatible with the iphone" - it does seem to work ok and charge the unit but... i sure hate seeing that message. Makes me think I am doing something wrong by using it.

If i move the ipod around to change songs or such, I'll get bursts of static on the radio! What is this 1970 technology?

Too expensive for the poor audio quality - if it was $19.99 I might keep it as a back up or for when I am in a friends car or a rental car. For $70 this is going back immediately.

2 out of 5 stars Not the best if the best   June 28, 2008
When I received my Belkin fm transmitter I was in shock because it was very big.The quality is not bad if your antenne of your car has a antenna in the front for example(Ford Edge or Nissan Muranno) but if the antenna is in the back for example( Lexus Rx350 or Kia Sportage(2006+)) you'll hear a lot of the annoying sound.
So before you buy it check where your car antenna is.
