Works as advertised. June 3, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I just have a couple of comments.
1. As others mention, try different outlets to optimize peformance. In our office where the router is, I tried 3 different outlets - each tested only with only the unit plugged in and got varying results.
2. I found that dedicating an outlet to a unit provides the best performance. Plugging a UPS (with a computer hooked up) into the OTHER receptical hurt peformance even with unit plugged directly into outlet.
3. If using more than two units (e.g. one master, multiple slaves), the directions are not clear enough. What they want you to do is plug one slave at a time into the same outlet as the master and sync it, repeating this process for each slave. Note the master should not receive a factory reset once this process has begun.
Does the Job its made for June 3, 2008 I have used it for over a month now and its working fine. I use my mdeia center to access videos and music from my NAS device and it works great. Go for it it wont let you down.
works like a charm May 21, 2008 way better than having 100ft long cables running through your house. all you have to do is read the simple instructions. i thought i had bought a shotty product until i read the instructions. By the way the orange light won't turn green until you connect it to a working pc or other destination(they must be on).
Just as advertised - almost May 15, 2008 Just as advertised, had no trouble getting this puppy up and running. One puzzle developed After some months this thing quit working. The problem wasnt with the unit well, yes and no. It turned out that one if the lamps in the room interfered somehow. When the lamp was turned off, everything works fine. Funny, eh? Its a normal incandescent lamp that causes the interference.
Very Poor Performer May 14, 2008 I hooked this up and the data transmission rate is extremely low. I have a rather small house and not many electrical circuits. I tried it on several different outlets, with the same results.
