 Excellent purchase September 24, 2008
I recieved the memory chip in a brown bag as the reviews had said and it was shipped to me very fast, faster than promised. The memory card works very well and for the $20 savings is worth buying.

I own a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT 8 MP (Fabulous Digital SLR camera by the way)I needed a bigger memory card as my 2-GB wasn't cutting it on vacations any more [my wife loves to take pictures]. After lots of research and reading I settled on the Extreme III 8 GB (as it is fast enough for almost ANY photographer and is quite a bit cheaper than the extreme IV). I Ordered the EU Retail Package VS. the regular retail package because it was 20-bucks cheaper. The card came in a brown paper envelope in a small card holder case...nothing else, but it certainly appeared brand new. I placed the card in the camera and formatted it before I did anything. The card works perfectly and is lighting fast. It is a noticeable improvement (speed wise) from my old card and can certainly "keep up" with the read/write speed of the camera (I shoot all my pics as JPEG on the highest quality setting and each image averages about 3.5 megabytes) I was able to shoot continuous for what seemed like at least a minute or two and then I stopped to see how long it would take the card to finish writing...just a few seconds. I saved 20-bucks on the card by buying the EU Package. Excellent card and received it fast! Saving 20-bucks on the same product...no brainer! :) Others have cautioned about purchasing from Amazon "store fronts" however I have never had an issue and Amazon stands behind all thir retailers and does not abandon you like some other e-tailers and services do! THANKS AMAZON for delivering great products at great prices!

Good product! Got it cause I got a Nikon D200, and it is performing pretty well. I have not had any issues with it, and it's pretty fast. Although I never used a Compact Flash before. But the size of that one allows me to take a lot of pictures without having to transfer files to my computer too often, especially if your camera takes big sized pictures.
Overall, great choice, and great buy! very cheap here! I saw it somewhere else for twice the price! :)

Can someone shed light on a question I have?
Amazon is selling the Sandisk Extreme III 8.0 CF (in EU package for $55), and it claims the retail price is $129, it is a also selling the Sandisk Extreme III 8.0 CF (in Retail package for $94), with the claim that the retail price is $394. The reviews for each of these are the same reviews. . .
Is there a difference between the EU package and the Retail package?
I have the EU package card and it works superbly.
