 Excellent speed and quality April 5, 2008
For professional photography this product provides two key elements: peace of mind and time savings. Shooting raw+jpeg, each shot uses up about 20 megabytes. This 8GB card provides enough space for an entire photo shoot. More importantly, it offers the peace of mind that this high quality product has been well tested and the images are safe. While not as fast as the Extreme IV, this card is relatively quick, providing good read times required to offload the contents onto the hard disk. SanDisk support was also very responsive when I ran into a software issue.

Extremely pleased with the performance of the 8.0GB Extreme III CF card. Read and write speed are fantastic. Works well with my Nikon D300 and in fine JPEG mode will hold over 700 photos and nearly 400 in RAW!

I have enjoyed having the larger memory card in my new dslr camera. The only reason why I didn't give this product a 5 star review is because it required me to buy a new memory card reader just to be able to get photos off the card. My 3 year old sandisk reader was useless with this memory card while connected to a mac. After upgrading to an Extreme sandisk memory card reader, everything is good.

All serious photographers need this 8 gb card, worry about your pictures, not how much room you have left on the card.
