5 out of 5 stars Excellent Case   September 3, 2008
Simply put, I love this case. The tech support is excellent too. One of my front blue LED 120mm fans died the first day. After a couple simple exchanges of emails, my new fan was on its way for free :) The fans run quiet (in my opinion) considering how many there are, the dust filters work very well, the LEDs look beautiful against the full black case, and it has excellent cable management. I highly recommend it!

5 out of 5 stars Temps droped by a huge amount   August 28, 2008
You can't go wrong w/ this case, it's a one stop shop. Lots of space, fans, water cooling support, looks sxy, nice blue LED's everywhere, side panel comes off for great cable managment so your internal temperatures and airflow are perfect. Because of this case I am overclocking further than I ever have before with my Q6600 quad core processor, 4 GPU CrossfireX 3870 setup and 4 hard drive raid 0 + 1.

You will be hard press to find a poor review on this case and if you do, it's probably biased for some reason.

5 out of 5 stars Great case.   August 23, 2008
Whats with the wordy reviews? This case is larger than I expected but Im very happy with its size. I am dissapointed in the filter removal setup. You have to remove the wire management side panel to unscrew the screws that allow the fan to push out the front of the case. I have alot of wires crammed in there and it could be troublesome if I clean those filters often. Which leads me to another issue, I question how long I will be able to continue to push the fan housing out the front of the case before it gets all scratched up.

None the less, this case is SEXY and the air flow is incredible. I had a usb in and the string hung from it and it was getting sucked into the front of the case.

I picked this case up for 175 free shipping. Shipping was not incredibly fast... but heck it was free. This was my first amazon purchase.... Im starting to check here often before I buy at the chicken egg place. I saved myself 50bucks.

thanks amazon.

5 out of 5 stars Great Case   August 22, 2008
I like this case. I had the Antec 900 but this case is a lot better. I have SLI GTX 260 and they need a lot of room and this case has it. I am so have water cooling and there is plenty of room for that as well. My CPU and GPU temps dropped a lot with this case. The great thing about this case is the cable management and how you can have all the wires behind the case. The case is well built and it is sort of heavy but you get for what you pay for a well built case and it look great and great cooling with all the fans. The case is not loud with all the fans and I do like that all the fan controls are on the outside of the case it makes changing fan speed faster. The only thing I see that this case needs to be changed is the amount of room on the backside of the case for hiding wires. It gets a little tight if you do not make your wires nice and neat you will not be able to close your side door on that side. Over all this case is gets 5 stars.

5 out of 5 stars HUGE, HUGE, HUGE!   August 11, 2008

The outside of the box gives you a tease of what lies inside: the cool midnight blue lights; the viewing panel on the side of the case; and the mammoth fan that sits on the top of the case.

Opening the box reveals the sheer size of this case. 1200 could stand for 1200lbs, 1200fans, or 1200 drive bays. The case weighs over thirty pounds. It stands almost two foot tall. The front of the case is populated with twelve...TWELVE drive bays. Fans are distributed liberally throughout the case.

Removing both side panels reveals the vast interior. You could easily stack 2-3 laptops inside the case. Looking for an SLI case? The Twelve Hundred has the space. It swallowed my nForce Ultra 790i Ultra motherboard and EVGA GTX 280 and still has space for two more GTX 280s.

The power supply sits at the bottom of this case. Don't even think about installing anything less than a 750W power supply. Preferably something with a LOT of connectors. You will need several 4pin connectors for all the fans. Fortunately, they can be daisy-chained.

Another key feature of this case is the ability to run cables UNDER the motherboard. The motherboard attaches to a metal plate in the case. Under that plate is a space to run almost all of the wires used in a PC. SATA, fans, front panel wires, and just about anything else. The plate has openings at strategic points where cables typically connect. The end-result is a very clean looking and professional installation -- which you can show off using the viewing panel on the left side of the case.

The twelve drive bays are grouped into 3 sets of 4. Each group has its own fan. Installation of 5.25in and 3.5in drives was easy and intuitive. There was a brief moment of confusion on my part when trying to attach drives to the bay. The usual "short" screws are not used with this case. Instead, there are 1" screws used to mount drives into bays.

About the only drawback is the rudimentary front-panel. It works -- but looks very plain. After the exotic design inside the case, the lighting, the fans, etc, the front panel is a bit of a let down.

Still, I am absolutely thrilled with this case. Highly recommend for gamers, high-end graphics workstations, or users with massive storage requirements.
