Same as the Post Office June 27, 2008 This is the same model that the post office would sell you - only for $10.00 more!
Lasts only a few months! June 23, 2008 I bought this scale in January... by May it was already giving erroneous weights... turn it on, it gives you a reading of 2oz, now 2.1, now 1.5 hmmm... there is nothing on it! Turn it off and start again... maybe by the tenth time it will read 0 so you can actually weigh your item... Hitting tare doesn't help either. Very bad quality!
Much Better Than Mechanical Scale! June 21, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My wife has many craft hobbies and likes to sell things on EBay and other internet forums. This scale is perfect and much easier to use than a mechanical scale. Granted, it is more expensive than a mechanical scale, but you will be far less likely to make postage errors.
As long as you don't need to weigh something that is more than 5 lbs, this scale is perfect.
Excellent scale for small packages February 18, 2008 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I mail a lot of small packages that weight in the range of 3 to 10 ounces. I usually cannot get to the post office during their regular business hours. Therefore, I need an accurate scale to determine postage so I can put the packages in a mail box. I bought a different scale on eBay for about $20. That scale died after about a week. Rather than waste more money, I decided to buy this regulation postal scale from Amazon. I figured that if it died, at least Amazon is great about returns so I wouldn't be out more money. I have had this scale for several weeks now, and it works like a charm. It is accurate to one-tenth of an ounce. I keep it plugged in with the included AC power source, so I cannot comment on battery life. I would highly recommend this scale to anyone who needs to accurately weigh small packages.
The Postal Scale December 28, 2007 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
when I first hooked up the scale it only registered in grams and kilos, not ounces and pounds. I emailed the company and they did not respond for 2 weeks. Very unprofessional to me. In the interim I figured it out and the scale works fine except that when standing for a while (plugged in) it will resister 1 or 2 ounces with nothing on it. I'm thinking of getting another one directly from the post office. Allan Palmer
