 Did you contact Garmin for help with the software? February 16, 2005

I purchased a GPSMAP 60cs from Amazon and I also had problems installing the included WayPoint Manager Software onto my computer. I proceeded to contact Garmin Technical Support and they worked with my until I was able to get things up an running to my satisfaction. I was very impressed with the support I received from Garmin. mclark88 didn't say whether he/she contacted Garmin about the installation problem with the City Select Software. I would imagine that they would have been willing to help out.
I too own the Delorme software and do like it; however, it can't be downloaded onto the GPSMAP 60cs. You are sort of stuck with Garmin's MapSource software for this functionality. Some folks see this as a negative point about Garmin especially since their mapping software is pricey.
I don't actually own this particular kit, but am planning on purchasing it soon. I'll update this review when I eventually purchase it. In the meantime, I'll rate it 4 stars. (I wish you could just make comments and not have to rate it.)

I recently bought the this system and the City Select CDs would not install, insisting that I first put in the install CD. Based on this experience I am returned the product and will not use Garmin MapSource. I recommend switching to a DeLorme product and some other software.
