Smaller flat panel arm thoughts March 28, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have a Peerless mount for my larger screen and I love the overdesign built into their products. They are the premiere manufacturer in this category and I found this smaller articulating arm to be consistant with high quality and sturdy build features they personify. I was not entirely comfortable with the single top screw taking all that stress, so I drilled that hole out for a larger bolt and greatly increased my comfort level. That's just me wanting to sleep thru earthquakes! It's an attractive product with integrity at a price that's at the low end for the job it does compared to all the competition.
You Could Hang A Small Car Off This Thing... March 25, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The local stores only had wall arms in silver, and I wanted black. So, off to the internet.
(Once again Amazon comes through. "You want black? Here, we got all these brands in black." Go Amazon!)
This thing is far heavier than it looks, and structurally can support a HUGE amount of weight, which is what you want if you're talking about swinging out an $800 flat screen from the wall. The manufacturer gives you mounting screws for literally every last conceivable type of flat screen, as well as a set of really deep wall mounting wood screws in a matching black finish. Find your wall stud, pick your height, fire up the power driver, level it vertically, and it's in!
Pluses: Channels top and bottom on the arm guide and hide whatever cables and wires that lead from the monitor, a thoughtful detail you don't see on a lot of other units. There's monitor tilt of course. And yes, it will fold flat, and I do mean FLAT, against the wall, meaning that you have unlimited degrees of freedom with regards to monitor placement and viewing.
An excellent, handsome, rugged, well thought-out, and well manufactured unit.
Buy it!!
Great Wall Arm February 26, 2007 16 out of 16 found this review helpful
Second arm I've bought. Great function. Smooth against wall. Easy to install. Use Phillips #3 when drilling screws into wall with power drill, otherwise head of screw strips too easily.
Just what I was looking for! February 15, 2007 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
This is a great wall mount that moves away from the wall, rotates and tilts. Then you can easily put the TV back in place flush against the wall when finished. Very sturdy. Just drill two holes into a stud and there you go! Like a previous review mentioned, I too have a 32 inch Toshiba 32HL66. This fit without any additional adapter plates. I was a little worried ahead of time that it might not fit my TV. Going to their website was useless. Here is what you need you know: On the back of your TV are 4 threaded holes. They either form a rectangle or square. All you have to do is measure two adjacent sides. As long as they are either 75mm, 100mm or 200mm; this mount will fit with no additional brackets. The price was about half of a less sturdy model at Best Buy. You won't be unhappy with this one!
Solid material February 14, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I was not expecting this to be so heavy duty, was concerned about how it would handle having a 32" tv attached to it for years. So far no concerns, its rock solid in the wall but still easy to tilt, swing, and push flat depending on what I want to do with it.
