Samsung Stand OK February 8, 2008 The stand is made well. I wish it would be an exclosed stand so the components near the floor wouldn't get dirty.
This stand is garbage February 8, 2008 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I wish I read these reviews before buying this. The directions were wrong and I ended up putting the wrong screw in and split the wood. Even without the crack in the wood the stand is unstable. Very poor design. I'll be moving in a few weeks and I have zero faith that this thing will survive being picked up. During assembly it is upside down and when I flipped it I thought it was going to fall apart. Just a sorry excuse for a stand. The people on here who gave it more than 2 stars either work for Samsung or are just easily satisfied.
Great stand, worth every penny! February 8, 2008 This stand looks so gorgeous with my new 50" samsung dlp. Took me about 2 hours to make, but the directions are very straight forward. Plenty of room to put whatever you need on the shelves. I have a dvr, xbox 360, n64, cable modem, and router and I still have plenty of room for more. Very clean looking, glossy black finish and fits the tv perfectly. I noticed some people saying there's sagging in the middle or the tv overhangs in the back. I didn't see any of those to be true. Before my tv came, I set up my old 26" CRT tv (easily weighing more than my 50" samsung) on top and it supported it just fine. Seriously if you buy the samsung 50-61" dlp tvs, you want this stand. It really does complete the look.
Looks OK, but fragile January 22, 2008 While assembling this stand, I noticed that the cam-locks were pretty small and looked like they were plastic. I don't know that for sure, and I'm not going to take it apart to find out! They only hold on the top, but are easy to break. After I got it assembled, I tried to move it by picking up the top. That was all I could move that way....the top! I broke all the cam-locks and now the top sits on the stand, but with the dowels and screws, it doesn't move once you get the TV on it.
After getting it into place, with the TV on it, it looks good!!
Great stand! Can be used for many HDTV makers including Sony January 21, 2008 We bought this stand for use with our Sony 60" SXRD KDS-60A3000 rear projection HDTV because we didn't like the Sony stand that looked like a big rectangle (note: our tv is rear projection and is approx. 15" deep ... it fits on this stand perfectly).
It fit all of our equipment and looks nice. We got rid of our old huge wood entertainment center and our room looks a lot bigger more 'current'. For the price, this is a good stand! The only reason we didn't give it 5 stars is it would be nice if it had some kind of feature to hide the wires better. Otherwise it was easy to put together (less than 1 hour).
