Great Product-Great Price-Fast Service September 14, 2007 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
If you purchased a Sony VGN-SZ650N/C, you really should invest in the Sony docking station. By allowing you to connect a computer screen and keyboard, the docking station gives your laptop a "desktop" look and feel. It was new in the box, factory from Sony, and Amamzon sold it to me for a really great price. Buy it, you won't be sorry.
Sony Docking Station August 7, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This docking station has 3 USB ports (Not enough in my opinion) and does not come with a power cable. You must use the one that came with your computer which can be a pain if you take your laptop with you. After docked my SZ series computer wigs out almost everytime. You have to adjust the resolution to your external monitor and is quite annoying. Sometimes when docked it never shows up on the monitor at all. I then have to reboot. Not worth the price. If I had it to do allover again I would just hook the laptop directly to my monitor.
Good but could be better May 12, 2007 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
The sz series docking station is pretty useful in the fact that there is a dvi output. The laptop itself does not have this. This essentially made my video faster and better looking. The docking station could use audio out and microphone slots but its ok because the laptop has it right there when you dock it.
The size of the station is small which is a desksaver and this is prob a must if you are a student and you use your laptop as a desktop at home and a laptop in class.
Half hearted attempt May 4, 2007 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
1) Multi monitor software is poor. Manual configuration of external monitor is required on every re-connect. Dual monitor (using the laptop screen and an external monitor) does not seem to be supported. 2) Analog video quality is poor. Dock seems to degrade the signals. 3) No power supply included. 4) No provision for audio. 5) Only three USB ports
Great addition April 15, 2007 0 out of 5 found this review helpful
Smart and clean - makes it a snap when you are in the office - nothing to do but plug it in.
