2nd camera a waste of time/money May 12, 2008 I have been unable to use the additional camera I bought for this system. Despite following the instructions provided I have been unable to get the receiver to cycle between cameras as it is supposed to. In fact I can only get the 2nd camera to work if I hold the receiver at a certain angle, and then I still only get the feed from the 2nd camera instead of it cycling through both.
better camera May 8, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have this for my 4011 system. Its better than the silver spherical camera that came with the system mentioned earlier. The reception is better, motion detection is better, and the picture is clearer.
I've only had it for a few weeks so I don't know how it will work in the rain and cold. My only complaints are that the power cord is too short, the IR light is noticeable at night, and the camera doesn't swivel wide enough to extreme angles.
horse crazy April 30, 2008 The camera served the us well. Night vision is a little grainy but you could make out the mare in the stall. The weather did effect the reception (thunderstorm) but we were still able to make out a faily good picture. The camera sure beat running to the barn every hour to check on mares. Well worth the money spent to get a few winks of shut eye during foaling season.
Does pretty much what is advertised January 21, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The camera broadcasts well up to about 300 feet as long as you arn't using wi-fi, wireless telephones or any other interfering freqs. My furnace interferes with the picture too. The picture is a bit fuzzy, (it doesn't compare favorably with cabled cameras), and the illumination isn't the best, but you can't beat the convenience of having up to three cameras surveiling your house without cables to string. Don't even think about using a battery, since a nine volt only lasts about 20 minutes. I use three of these to surveil the inside of the house since there are no cables, and they all take up only one channel on my See-Q DVR card.
