5 out of 5 stars Big Storage, Fast, Small, Works Well   September 6, 2008

After a bad experience with another cheaper brand, I bought this SanDisk for a Kodak V1073 camera. The amount of storage is great, it recently allowed to take photos and movies for an entire vacation trip without changing the memory. The Extreme III is very fast to write with the camera and read with the USB reader. The reader is small enough to be carried in a camera bag without concern for space or weight. Since SDHC is not widespread yet, this kit with the included reader is a great buy. Highly recommended.

5 out of 5 stars A regular person uses the Extreme III   September 4, 2008

After researching the compatibility of memory cards with our Canon S5 IS Powershot digital camera (I read a number of reviews to confirm that the 4GB Extreme III SDHC card would work with our camera), I ordered three cards when I found I could get a fantastic rebate from Sandisk with the purchase of three so the final cost was less than any other 1GB card I looked at (offer no longer available).

Because we used the higher resolution setting for the video function for our camera for a two week trip overseas this summer, we needed all of that memory. It was really helpful to have the extra cards because we were not able to download to a computer right away.

We are not professionals so we don't know what else the card can do besides hold lots of higher resolution video, but it works well for that purpose. Also, if you wanted to take hundreds of still photos without having to stop for a new card or couldn't download right away, it would be great too.

Random notes: My husband observed that the 4GB lasted longer than two, 2GB Ultra II Sandisk cards. The Canon we have is a digital with a very nice video function, not a dedicated video recorder, so I think it takes more memory for video. We are not sophisticated users, just very satisfied point-and-shooters.

The card with the reader is worth the few extra dollars to get. It makes photo sharing or downloading to multiple computers much easier.

This has been a great SD card it is extremely fast and has proven itself durable so far.

3 out of 5 stars Nice card; questionable addons   August 11, 2008

Card itself seems fine. I bought this package instead of some of the cheaper standalone cards because I wanted the extras.

Sadly the MicroMate card reader is too wide to fit in some USB ports (including those on the front panel of my dell desktop and the side panel of my dell laptop).

If the RescuePro software crashes on startup, be sure to go into Windows Data Execution Prevention options and opt-out the rescuepro.exe to resolve the crash.
